The public do not want to clean but love to clean, do not want to cook and do not want to go out. In this era, some businessmen take this business opportunity to make these unreasonable requirements gradually realized, and thus bring economic benefits.
For example my uncle Gipson who works abroad is affected by the COVID-19, he has no choice but to come back to Taiwan for work. Because of the advancement of technology, long-distance meetings have become quite easy. But it also makes him spend more time at home. This working mode causes my uncle to get tired to get out. Not only shopping but ordering the meal is finishing on the internet. This is also one of the reasons that the housing economy developed rapidly.
According to the Department of Statistics of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, R.O.C. (2020), from 2019 to 2020, merchants with delivery or home delivery services have increased to 55% while their counterparts who do not apply the service only grow 44.1% in total. Besides, the permeability of the delivery platform increased from 0.24% to 2.79% in Taiwan in one year. It can be seen that delivery service not only raises the store’s exposure and the turnover 1.8%, but also changes our shopping habits in Taiwan, as the following figure shows.

There are many reasons to make people decide to stay at home and use order delivery. First, accelerating the pace of life is the result of the development of our generation. Some people choose to stay at home and hope to enjoy delicious meals on the weekend. Another reason is the impact of the COVID-19. Based on the above figure, it can be found that the penetration rate of delivery platforms is increasing year by year. Beginning in January 2020, the spread range and speed of the COVID-19 in various countries has increased rapidly, especially the number of people infected with this has increased by 80 times within three months in the United State. Therefore, Taiwanese people have begun to be vigilant and the frequency of going out has decreased significantly.
